The Little Red Bus network is part of the North Yorkshire Learning Consortium (NYLC).

The establishment of the NYLC, as one of the four sub regional consortium in the Yorkshire and Humber region, is of strategic importance. The NYLC and its development is informed through its membership on the Regional VCS Learning and Skills Group.

The aims of Regional VCS Learning and Skills Group (represented in North Yorkshire by NYFVO/LSN and ACVO) are to develop a highly skilled and qualified voluntary and community sector workforce in Yorkshire and The Humber, including  including volunteers, paid staff and trustees. It also aims to develop and promote the VCS as a key provider of learning and skills.
