Ryedale Rural Miles Minibus Brokerage was established in April 2002 with the aim of providing minibus transport services for voluntary organisations and community groups at affordable rates. This is achieved by utilising existing minibuses throughout the district that are under used. By doing so this also provides an income for the minibus owners that contributes to the running cost of the vehicle.

For established community groups in Ryedale who do not have access to minibuses, the minibus brokerage service provides them the opportunity to use minibuses where the demand is such that car transport isn't a viable proposition with regard to cost and vehicle/driver availability.

Groups are encouraged to provide their own minibus drivers and RYECAT can provide MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) training for them if required. Find out more about our driver training service. Where a group doesn't have a suitable driver RYECAT can provide a paid RYECAT driver.
