RYECAT has around 60 volunteer drivers who drive for the Ryedale Car Scheme and Minibus services, either directly for RYECAT or as one of the many voluntary organisations and community groups who do not have their own driver.

All RYECAT minibus drivers must hold a current Minibus Driver Awareness (MiDAS) certificate. Groups are encouraged to provide their own drivers wherever possible and we can provide the required training fro these drivers.

We facilitate training for other organisations regularly throughout the year and the training courses include:

• MiDAS
• MEEPS (Minibus Emergency Evacuation Procedures)
• Disability Awareness
• Basic First Aid
• MiDAS Car scheme driver training
