Ryedale Rover Ring and Ride

The development of the demand responsive minibus service Ryedale Rover Ring and Ride across Ryedale is a high priority activity for RYECAT.

The first service began in January 2007 centred on the twin market towns of Malton and Norton, using a low floor wheelchair accessible minibus. This service covers an area of around eight miles, predominantly covering the remote North Wolds villages where there is little public transport.

The service operates between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and the fares are a flat rate within the area of £1.50 single and £3.00 return. Residents holding a Ryedale District Council Bus Pass travel free.

This type of service will be rolled out as soon as possible, to other areas including Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley.

All Ring and Ride services will, where possible, link into mainstream public transport services, providing that important final link for those residents who currently are unable to make that connection.
