The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is the qualification required by all bus, coach and lorry drivers who drive professionally.

From September 2008 existing drivers (Passenger Transport Sector) are required to attend a minimum of 35 hours (5 training days) approved training within five years.  The Road Haulage Sector's training will come into effect from September 2009.
