This is where our band of willing volunteers use their own cars to take patients or visitors to local hospitals or to other appointments.

If you phone us with your requirements we will find a driver for you and you will pay them direct at the rate of 40p per mile. We can also arrange to pick people up in this way from trains at Lancaster etc. Please allow a few days’ notice for arranging your trip.

We also administer a scheme in conjunction with Bentham/Ingleton surgery whereby if you need transport for a surgery visit you tell the surgery, they tell us, and we arrange it (the surgery pays for the service.) Sometimes we use volunteers or sometimes our taxibus. We will contact you and tell you who to expect and you will be surprised how often you know the drivers!
